When I was a kid I would spend a couple of weeks each summer with my Moms mother on Mahogany Drive in Amherst, NY. The days were hot and the pace of life at her house was relaxed. After dinner we would lay atop thick padded chaise lounge chairs on the patio enjoying the cool evening air. Before bed we snacked on cold stufffed pork chops while playing gin. Sometimes she’d even let me have a sip of her Genesee Cream Ale.
