Over the years I’ve seen some close friends driven apart by both significant and trivial matters. The commonality across all of them is the passion for how they felt wronged. On some level not returning a green sweater is equal to sleeping with someones boyfroend which is equal to draining a roomates bank account and stealing their car. Emotions are simply not scalable in the real world.
