The MangoFalls rule of thumb is that we only post images of people and exclude scenics and macro shots. In recent months I’ve been finding slides of this type which are appealing for one reason or another which has caused me to loosen that rule a little. I’ll be adding an extra image during the week when the mood strikes me so don’t despair that this will mean fewer people slides. More variety for the same low price~!

Feel the Burn
About 11 years ago my wife and I decided to sell just about everything we had and move to Oregon. With just some clothes and our dogs we piled into a small Hyundai and drove out of the city in the middle of the night. We ended up in a small beach town called Lincoln City and stayed for almost 2 years. I refused to wear sunscreen on that drive west and had a burn on my left arm that lasted for weeks.
Pumpkinhead
If you’ve not already made the trip to Target to buy a ridiculous amount of candy for the little hobgoblins that will be plodding to your door in 7 days, you’d better get crackin’. Halloween doesn’t rank high for lots of people but it’s always been my favorite holiday. I like the cool autumn air and the sound of crispy leaves rushing past my feet at night. I also like to stay up late watching really bad horror movies.
Turtle Turtle
Many years ago my wife and I took a trip to the Yucatan with little more than a couple of backpacks in tow. We used Merida as a base for our exploration. The city was incredibly busy but a lot of fun. It allowed us to take day trips to Uxmal and Izamal but still return to Merida every night. Near the end of the trip we rented an thatched roof palapa on Isla Mujeres and visited a turtle hatchery. We saw some large turtles but nothing this big.
Dance Party
While you can’t tell from this scan, these two are dancing as though their lives depended upon it. There are other lesser quality slides that show them rippin it up and having a great time. I’ve never been one to dance. I never learned how and to be honest I never had any interest yet I find it fun to watch others dance although I refuse to watch Dancing With the Stars because that just seems like such a desperate ploy for attention.
